Poll results: Most people do recycle

Our Polls say that most of the country does recycle paper, plastic and glass. That is the good news.
Then there is the unofficial 20% that does not recycle because they have no recycling services in the area they live in. I was not surprised by this. Very disappointed and somewhat disgusted also.
A couple of years ago my family stayed at a condo in Florida and found there was no recycling in the complex at all. If we had the room to carry it all I would have brought everything home to get recycled. We were careful not to buy any plastics knowing that we would have to bring it home. I spoke to other people in the condo complex and there were mixed reactions to the recycling. Some were concerned, but others did not care either way.
Knowing that landfills are getting inundated and overloaded I am surprised that not more is being done to fix this problem. I do know that money plays a big part in the equation. If people and businesses made the right choices they could force the changes necessary to decrease the need for landfills.
Thanks for your participation in last month's poll.
Next Poll: if you had the capital what energy efficiency would you put in place for your home or business.

The Ultimate Green List Revamped
Welcome to the redesigned Ultimate Green List. Yes it may look very different from when you were here last. But it still contains the Green information you are looking for.
Over a year ago when the Ultimate Green List was first started the intent was to create a reference list of truly green companies and organizations. The old platform did a great job of presenting the information, but needed something else. We have also been wanting to enhance the list with additional content and features. We a created a whole new site on a more flexible platform. We are hoping this gives you, our visitors, easier access to the information you are looking for and an overall better surfing experience on our web site.
Accessing the Green List is now done via the "Browse Green List" link on the main menu. You can also start browsing the list via the categories on the left. In addition, we are also featuring a "recently added list" on the top of the page. Other features will be added.
Each business listing has an enhanced look and this will be the basic listing for companies and organizations. Enhanced features are available for the listings and will be show cased in the near future.
If your business was listed on the old site you may NOT find you company listing here. This is due to the fact that we are still transferring this information. We are hoping to complete this transfer in the next two weeks. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us via the link below.
Please browse the site and let us know what you think. Good and bad give us the input.
The Ultimate Green list still promotes sustainability and environmental conservation. If you need help marketing your green product or service out to the masses let us know. We are here to help.
